| 11Farás segundo a ordem que te derem, e de acordo com a sentença que te anunciarem, sem te desviares para a direita ou para a esquerda da palavra que eles te houverem comunicado. | 11Conforme o teor da lei que te ensinarem, e conforme o juízo que pronunciarem, farás da palavra que te disserem não te desviarás, nem para a direita nem para a esquerda. | 11According to the sentence of the law which they shall teach thee, and according to the judgment which they shall tell thee, thou shalt do: thou shalt not decline from the sentence which they shall shew thee, to the right hand, nor to the left. |
| 12O homem que agir com arrogância, não obedecendo ao juiz ou ao sacerdote que está ali para servir unicamente ao SENHOR, o teu Deus, deverá ser morto. | 13Assim, todo o povo temerá e não ousará mais agir com presunção e rebeldia! | 13E todo o povo, ouvindo isso, temerá e nunca mais se ensoberbecerá. | 13And all the people shall hear, and fear, and do no more presumptuously. |
| 14Quando tiveres entrado na terra que o SENHOR teu Deus te concede, tomado posse dela e nela habitares, e pedires: ‘Quero estabelecer sobre mim um rei, como todas as nações que me rodeiam’, | 14Quando entrares na terra que o Senhor teu Deus te dá, e a possuíres e, nela habitando, disseres: Porei sobre mim um rei, como o fazem todas as nações que estão em redor de mim; | 14When thou art come unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are about me; |
| 15deverás estabelecer sobre ti um rei que tenha sido escolhido pelo SENHOR, teu Deus; é um dos teus irmãos que escolherás para governar sobre ti. Não poderás nomear um estrangeiro que não venha dentre teus próprios irmãos israelitas. | 15porás certamente sobre ti como rei aquele que o Senhor teu Deus escolher. Porás um dentre teus irmãos como rei sobre ti; não poderás pôr sobre ti um estrangeiro, homem que não seja de teus irmãos. | 15Thou shalt in any wise set him king over thee, whom the LORD thy God shall choose: one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother. |

| 18Quando ascender ao trono do seu reino, mandará escrever num rolo, para seu estudo pessoal, uma cópia da Torá, a Lei, que está aos cuidados dos sacerdotes levitas! | 18Será também que, quando se assentar sobre o trono do seu reino, escreverá para si, num livro, uma cópia desta lei, do exemplar que está diante dos levitas sacerdotes. | 18And it shall be, when he sitteth upon the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write him a copy of this law in a book out of that which is before the priests the Levites: |
| 19Trará sempre essa cópia consigo e terá de lê-la todos os dias da sua vida, a fim de que aprenda a amar reverentemente a Yahweh, e a cumprir fielmente toda a Palavra da Torá, a Lei, bem como todos os seus mandamentos. | 19E o terá consigo, e nele lerá todos os dias da sua vida, para que aprenda a temer ao Senhor seu Deus, e a guardar todas as palavras desta lei, e estes estatutos, a fim de os cumprir; | 19And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all the days of his life: that he may learn to fear the LORD his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them: |
| 20Desse modo o rei não se levantará arrogantemente sobre seus irmãos, nem se desviará dos decretos da Torá, da Lei, nem para a direita nem para a esquerda. Assim prolongará o seu reinado, e o governo de seus filhos e descendentes, no meio de Israel! | 20para que seu coração não se exalte sobre seus irmãos, e não se aparte do mandamento, nem para a direita nem para a esquerda; a fim de que prolongue os seus dias no seu reino, ele e seus filhos, no meio de Israel. | 20That his heart be not lifted up above his brethren, and that he turn not aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left: to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he, and his children, in the midst of Israel. |
