Capítulos Paralelas | 1Então o SENHOR veio a Abrão e lhe ordenou: “Sai da tua terra, da tua parentela e da casa de teu pai, e dirige-te à terra que te indicarei! | 1Ora, o Senhor disse a Abrão: Sai-te da tua terra, da tua parentela, e da casa de teu pai, para a terra que eu te mostrarei. | 1Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: |
| 2Eis que farei de ti um grande povo: Eu te abençoarei, engrandecerei teu nome; serás tu uma bênção! | 2Eu farei de ti uma grande nação; abençoar-te-ei, e engrandecerei o teu nome; e tu, sê uma bênção. | 2And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: |
| 3Abençoarei os que te abençoarem, amaldiçoarei aquele que te amaldiçoar. Por teu intermédio abençoarei todos os povos sobre a face da terra!” | 3Abençoarei aos que te abençoarem, e amaldiçoarei àquele que te amaldiçoar; e em ti serão benditas todas as famílias da terra. | 3And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. |
| 4Então partiu Abrão como o orientara o SENHOR, e Ló o acompanhou. Abrão tinha setenta e cinco anos de idade quando saiu das terras de Harã. | 4Partiu, pois Abrão, como o Senhor lhe ordenara, e Ló foi com ele. Tinha Abrão setenta e cinco anos quando saiu de Harã. | 4So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran. |
| 5Levou consigo sua esposa Sarai, seu sobrinho Ló, todos os bens que haviam conseguido amealhar e todos os escravos comprados em Harã; tomaram o rumo das terras de Canaã e lá chegaram. | 5Abrão levou consigo a Sarai, sua mulher, e a Ló, filho de seu irmão, e todos os bens que haviam adquirido, e as almas que lhes acresceram em Harã; e saíram a fim de irem à terra de Canaã; e à terra de Canaã chegaram. | 5And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came. |
| 6Abrão atravessou toda a terra até o lugar onde ficava uma árvore sagrada chamada Carvalho de Moré, em Siquém. Naquele tempo, os cananeus viviam nessa região. | 6Passou Abrão pela terra até o lugar de Siquém, até o carvalho de Moré. Nesse tempo estavam os cananeus na terra. | 6And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Sichem, unto the plain of Moreh. And the Canaanite was then in the land. |
| 7Então o SENHOR apareceu a Abrão e lhe prometeu: “É à tua descendência que darei esta terra!” E Abrão construiu ali um altar dedicado a Yahweh, porquanto ali o SENHOR havia aparecido e falado com ele. | 7Apareceu, porém, o Senhor a Abrão, e disse: ë tua semente darei esta terra. Abrão, pois, edificou ali um altar ao Senhor, que lhe aparecera. | 7And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him. |
| 8Dali prosseguiu Abrão rumo às colinas a leste de Betel, onde armou seu acampamento, tendo Betel a oeste e Ai a leste. Edificou também nesse lugar um altar em sinal de louvor e adoração ao SENHOR e invocou o Nome de Deus. | 8Então passou dali para o monte ao oriente de Betel, e armou a sua tenda, ficando-lhe Betel ao ocidente, e Ai ao oriente; também ali edificou um altar ao Senhor, e invocou o nome do Senhor. | 8And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto the LORD, and called upon the name of the LORD. |
| 9Mais tarde, Abrão partiu dali e seguiu em direção ao Neguebe, região sul das terras de Canaã. | 9Depois continuou Abrão o seu caminho, seguindo ainda para o sul. | 9And Abram journeyed, going on still toward the south. |
| 10Contudo, sobreveio grande escassez e fome sobre as terras de Canaã, e Abrão desceu para o Egito, para ali viver algum tempo, porquanto a falta de alimentos assolava a terra. | 10Ora, havia fome naquela terra; Abrão, pois, desceu ao Egito, para peregrinar ali, porquanto era grande a fome na terra. | 10And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land. |
| 11Quando estavam chegando ao Egito, ocorreu a Abrão propor a Sarai, sua esposa: “Escuta com atenção! Tu és uma mulher muito bonita; | 11Quando ele estava prestes a entrar no Egito, disse a Sarai, sua mulher: Ora, bem sei que és mulher formosa à vista; | 11And it came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai his wife, Behold now, I know that thou art a fair woman to look upon: |
| 12portanto, quando os egípcios contemplarem tua formosura se alegarão: ‘É a mulher dele!’ e me matarão, preservando a tua vida. | 12e acontecerá que, quando os egípcios te virem, dirão: Esta é mulher dele. E me matarão a mim, mas a ti te guardarão em vida. | 12Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see thee, that they shall say, This is his wife: and they will kill me, but they will save thee alive. |
| 13Sendo assim, suplico-te, dize que és minha irmã, para que me tratem bem por consideração a ti e, por tua causa, conservem também a minha vida!” | 13Dize, peço-te, que és minha irmã, para que me vá bem por tua causa, e que viva a minha alma em atenção a ti. | 13Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister: that it may be well with me for thy sake; and my soul shall live because of thee. |
| 14De fato, quando Abrão chegou ao Egito, os egípcios viram que Sarai era uma mulher muito bela. | 14E aconteceu que, entrando Abrão no Egito, viram os egípcios que a mulher era mui formosa. | 14And it came to pass, that, when Abram was come into Egypt, the Egyptians beheld the woman that she was very fair. |
| 15Viram-na os oficiais da corte de Faraó e a elogiaram sobremaneira diante do seu monarca, e Sarai foi levada ao palácio de Faraó. | 15Até os príncipes de Faraó a viram e gabaram-na diante dele; e foi levada a mulher para a casa de Faraó. | 15The princes also of Pharaoh saw her, and commended her before Pharaoh: and the woman was taken into Pharaoh's house. |
| 16Este, por causa dela, tratou muito bem a Abrão, que recebeu ovelhas, bois, jumentos e jumentas, servos e servas, e vários camelos. | 16E ele tratou bem a Abrão por causa dela; e este veio a ter ovelhas, bois e jumentos, servos e servas, jumentas e camelos. | 16And he entreated Abram well for her sake: and he had sheep, and oxen, and he asses, and menservants, and maidservants, and she asses, and camels. |
| 17Contudo, por causa de Sarai, o SENHOR Deus castigou Faraó, sua família, e toda a sua corte, com doenças horríveis. | 17Feriu, porém, o Senhor a Faraó e a sua casa com grandes pragas, por causa de Sarai, mulher de Abrão. | 17And the LORD plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai Abram's wife. |
| 18Por esse motivo, certo dia Faraó ordena que Abrão seja trazido à sua presença e indaga-lhe: “Que é isto que me fizeste? Por que não me declaraste que ela era tua mulher? | 18Então chamou Faraó a Abrão, e disse: Que é isto que me fizeste? por que não me disseste que ela era tua mulher? | 18And Pharaoh called Abram, and said, What is this that thou hast done unto me? why didst thou not tell me that she was thy wife? |
| 19Por que alegaste: ‘Ela é minha irmã!’, de modo que eu a tomasse como minha mulher? Agora, portanto, eis a tua mulher de volta: toma-a e vai-te!” | 19Por que disseste: E minha irmã? de maneira que a tomei para ser minha mulher. Agora, pois, eis aqui tua mulher; toma-a e vai-te. | 19Why saidst thou, She is my sister? so I might have taken her to me to wife: now therefore behold thy wife, take her, and go thy way. |
