| 2“Ó filho do homem, volve o teu rosto contra o monte Seir e profetiza contra ele. | 2Filho do homem, dirige o teu rosto contra o monte Seir, e profetiza contra ele. | 2Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it, |
| 3Dize-lhe: Assim declara Yahweh, o SENHOR Deus: Ó monte Seir, terras de Edom, eis que Eu estou contra ti; estenderei o meu braço contra ti e te farei uma terra desolada, um lugar deserto e amedrontador. | 3E dize-lhe: Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Eis que eu estou contra ti, ó monte Seir, e estenderei a minha mão contra ti, e te tornarei em desolação e espanto. | 3And say unto it, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O mount Seir, I am against thee, and I will stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate. |
| 4Transformarei as tuas cidades em ruínas, e ficarás completamente arrasado. Então reconhecerás que Eu Sou Yahweh, o SENHOR. | 4Farei desertas as tuas cidades, e tu serás assolado; e saberás que eu sou o Senhor. | 4I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD. |
| 5Porque mantiveste teu antigo ódio e inimizade, e entregaste os israelitas ao poder da espada no tempo da calamidade deles; na hora da desgraça e quando lhes chegou o juízo e o castigo, | 5Pois que guardaste perpétua inimizade, e entregaste os filhos de Israel ao poder da espada no tempo da sua calamidade, no tempo do castigo final; | 5Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end: |
| 6por este motivo, juro pela minha própria vida, afirma Yahweh, o Eterno e Soberano Deus, que te entregarei ao espírito sanguinário, à morte, e este sangue te perseguirá. Considerando que jamais rejeitaste o espírito da morte, ele te alcançará! | 6por isso vivo eu, diz o Senhor Deus, que te prepararei para sangue, e o sangue te perseguirá; visto que não aborreceste o sangue, por isso o sangue te perseguirá. | 6Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: sith thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee. |
| 7Então farei do monte Seir um deserto completamente assolado e dele exterminarei os seus transeuntes, todos que por ali vêm e vão. | 7Farei do monte Seir um espanto e uma desolação, e exterminarei dele o que por ele passar, e o que por ele voltar; | 7Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth. |
| 8Encherei teus montes de cadáveres; os mortos à espada cairão nas tuas colinas, nos teus vales e em todas as tuas correntes de água. | 8e encherei os seus montes dos seus mortos; nos teus outeiros, e nos teus vales, e em todas as tuas correntes d`água cairão os mortos à espada. | 8And I will fill his mountains with his slain men: in thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy rivers, shall they fall that are slain with the sword. |
| 9Eu te devastarei para sempre, e as tuas cidades não mais serão habitadas. Então sabereis que Eu Sou Yahweh, o SENHOR. | 9Em desolações perpétuas te porei, e não serão habitadas as tuas cidades. Então sabereis que eu sou o Senhor. | 9I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not return: and ye shall know that I am the LORD. |
| 10Visto que comentaste: ‘Estas duas nações e povos ainda serão nossos e nos apossaremos deles!’, sendo que Eu,Yahweh, estava presente ali, | 10Visto como dizes: Estes dois povos e estas duas terras serão meus, e havemos de possuí-los, sendo que o Senhor se achava ali; | 10Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the LORD was there: |
| 11juro pela minha vida, Palavra do Eterno e Soberano SENHOR, que te tratarei segundo a ira e o ciúme que revelaste através de teu ódio para com eles, e me farei conhecido entre eles no Dia em que o meu julgamento for deflagrado contra ti. | 11portanto, vivo eu, diz o Senhor Deus, que procederei conforme a tua ira, e conforme a tua inveja, de que usaste, no teu ódio contra eles; e me darei a conhecer entre eles, quando eu te julgar. | 11Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will even do according to thine anger, and according to thine envy which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I have judged thee. |
| 12Então saberás que Eu, Yahweh, ouvi todos os teus intentos e blasfêmias proferidos contra os montes de Israel quando comentaste: ‘Ora, eles já estão destruídos, e foram entregues a nós para que os devoremos!’ | 12E saberás que eu, o Senhor, ouvi todas as tuas blasfêmias, que proferiste contra os montes de Israel, dizendo: Já estão assolados, a nós nos são entregues por pasto. | 12And thou shalt know that I am the LORD, and that I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to consume. |
| 13Te enchestes de arrogância contra a minha pessoa, e abristes a tua boca para multiplicar palavras levianas contra mim, e Eu tudo ouvi. | 13Vós vos engrandecestes contra mim com a vossa boca, e multiplicastes as vossas palavras contra mim. Eu o ouvi. | 13Thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard them. |
| 14Agora, pois, assim diz o Soberano, Yahweh, o SENHOR: Enquanto toda a terra se rejubila, Eu agirei e farei de ti um amontoado de entulho no meio do deserto. | 14Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Quando a terra toda se alegrar, a ti te farei uma desolação. | 14Thus saith the Lord GOD; When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee desolate. |
| 15Assim como te alegraste com a destruição da herança da nação de Israel, de igual modo te tratarei. Ó monte Seir, tu serás arrasado, e contigo todo o Edom; sim, todas as terras de Edom. E nesse Dia todos entenderão que Eu Sou Yahweh, o SENHOR. | 15Como te alegraste com a herança da casa de Israel, porque foi assolada, assim eu te farei a ti: assolado serás, ó monte Seir, e todo o Edom, sim, todo ele; e saberão que eu sou o Senhor. | 15As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea, even all of it: and they shall know that I am the LORD. |
