| 3Ele, que é o resplendor da glória e a expressão exata do seu Ser, sustentando tudo o que há pela Palavra do seu poder. Depois de haver realizado a purificação dos pecados, Ele se assentou à direita da Majestade nas alturas, | 3sendo ele o resplendor da sua glória e a expressa imagem do seu Ser, e sustentando todas as coisas pela palavra do seu poder, havendo ele mesmo feito a purificação dos pecados, assentou-se à direita da Majestade nas alturas, | 3Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; |
| 4tornando-se tão superior aos anjos quanto o Nome que herdou é ainda mais excelente do que eles. O Filho é exaltado acima dos anjos | 4feito tanto mais excelente do que os anjos, quanto herdou mais excelente nome do que eles. | 4Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. |

E outra vez: “Eu lhe serei Pai, e Ele me será Filho”? | 5Pois a qual dos anjos disse jamais: Tu és meu Filho, hoje te gerei? E outra vez: Eu lhe serei Pai, e ele me será Filho? | 5For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? |
| 6E uma vez mais, quando Deus introduz o Primogênito no mundo, declara: “Todos os anjos de Deus o adorem”. | 6E outra vez, ao introduzir no mundo o primogênito, diz: E todos os anjos de Deus o adorem. | 6And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. |
| 7Quanto aos anjos, Ele afirma: “Ele faz dos seus anjos ventos, e dos seus servos, labaredas de fogo”. | 7Ora, quanto aos anjos, diz: Quem de seus anjos faz ventos, e de seus ministros labaredas de fogo. | 7And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. |
| 8Entretanto, a respeito do Filho, revela: “O teu trono, ó Deus, subsiste por toda a eternidade; e o cetro do teu Reino é bastão da justiça. | 8Mas do Filho diz: O teu trono, ó Deus, subsiste pelos séculos dos séculos, e cetro de eqüidade é o cetro do teu reino. | 8But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. |
| 9Amas o direito e odeias a iniquidade; por esse motivo, Deus, o teu Deus, te escolheu e ungiu com óleo de alegria, como a nenhum dos teus companheiros”. | 9Amaste a justiça e odiaste a iniqüidade; por isso Deus, o teu Deus, te ungiu com óleo de alegria, mais do que a teus companheiros; | 9Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. |
| 10E acrescenta: “Tu, Senhor, no princípio estabeleceste os fundamentos da terra, e os céus são obras das tuas mãos. | 10e: Tu, Senhor, no princípio fundaste a terra, e os céus são obras de tuas mãos; | 10And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: |
| 11Eles perecerão, mas tu permanecerás; envelhecerão como vestimentas, | 11eles perecerão, mas tu permaneces; e todos eles, como roupa, envelhecerão, | 11They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; |
| 12e como um manto tu os enrolarás, e como roupas serão trocados; mas, Tu és imutável, e os teus dias não terão fim”. | 12e qual um manto os enrolarás, e como roupa se mudarão; mas tu és o mesmo, e os teus anos não acabarão. | 12And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. |
| 13Ora, a qual dos anjos Deus alguma vez declarou: “Senta-te à minha direita, até que Eu faça dos teus inimigos um estrado para os teus pés”? | 13Mas a qual dos anjos disse jamais: Assenta-te à minha direita até que eu ponha os teus inimigos por escabelo de teus pés? | 13But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? |
| 14Não são todos os anjos, espíritos ministradores, enviados para servir em benefício dos que herdarão a salvação? | 14Não são todos eles espíritos ministradores, enviados para servir a favor dos que hão de herdar a salvação? | 14Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? |
