Comunica, pois, aos filhos de Israel: Que tragam a ti uma novilha vermelha sem defeito, perfeita, e que não tenha ainda sido submetida a jugo. | 2Este é o estatuto da lei que o Senhor ordenou, dizendo: Dize aos filhos de Israel que te tragam uma novilha vermelha sem defeito, que não tenha mancha, e sobre a qual não se tenha posto jugo: | 2This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke: |

| 4Depois o sacerdote Eleazar tomará com seu dedo um pouco do sangue e o aspergirá sete vezes, na direção da entrada da Tenda do Encontro. | 4Eleazar, o sacerdote, tomará do sangue com o dedo, e dele espargirá para a frente da tenda da revelação sete vezes. | 4And Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood directly before the tabernacle of the congregation seven times: |
| 5Queimar-se-á, então, a novilha, à vista dele; o couro, a carne, o sangue e os excrementos serão queimados. | 5Então à vista dele se queimará a novilha, tanto o couro e a carne, como o sangue e o excremento; | 5And one shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn: |

| 8Da mesma maneira, aquele que queimou a novilha lavará suas vestes, banhará seu corpo com água e será considerado impuro até a tarde. | 8Também o que a tiver queimado lavará as suas vestes e banhará o seu corpo em água, e sera imundo até a tarde. | 8And he that burneth her shall wash his clothes in water, and bathe his flesh in water, and shall be unclean until the even. |
| 9Um homem, considerado cerimonialmente puro, se encarregará de recolher as cinzas da novilha e as depositará num local puro, fora dos limites do acampamento. Ali as cinzas serão guardadas pelo povo de Israel a fim de serem usadas na preparação da água lustral, que tira a impureza das pessoas. Esta cerimônia serve como sacrifício para tirar pecados. | 9E um homem limpo recolherá a cinza da novilha, e a depositará fora do arraial, num lugar limpo, e ficará ela guardada para a congregação dos filhos de Israel, para a água de purificação; é oferta pelo pecado. | 9And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place, and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water of separation: it is a purification for sin. |
| 10Aquele que tiver recolhido as cinzas da novilha lavará suas vestes e ficará impuro até a tarde. Tanto para os filhos de Israel como para o estrangeiro que habita entre eles, este será um decreto perpétuo. | 10E o que recolher a cinza da novilha lavará as suas vestes e será imundo até a tarde; isto será por estatuto perpétuo aos filhos de Israel e ao estrangeiro que peregrina entre eles. | 10And he that gathereth the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: and it shall be unto the children of Israel, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among them, for a statute for ever. |

| 12Portanto, deverá purificar-se com essa água lustral no terceiro e no sétimo dia; então será considerado novamente puro. Contudo, se não se purificar no terceiro e no sétimo dia, não estará livre da impureza que adquiriu. | 12Ao terceiro dia o mesmo se purificará com aquela água, e ao sétimo dia se tornará limpo; mas, se ao terceiro dia não se purificar, não se tornará limpo ao sétimo dia. | 12He shall purify himself with it on the third day, and on the seventh day he shall be clean: but if he purify not himself the third day, then the seventh day he shall not be clean. |
| 13Qualquer pessoa que tocar num cadáver humano e não passar pela cerimônia de purificação, contamina a Habitação de Yahweh, e será sumariamente banida do meio do povo de Israel. Visto que as águas lustrais não foram aspergidas sobre essa pessoa, sua imundícia permanece sobre ela. | 13Todo aquele que tocar o cadáver de algum homem que tenha morrido, e não se purificar, contamina o tabernáculo do Senhor; e essa alma será extirpada de Israel; porque a água da purificação não foi espargida sobre ele, continua imundo; a sua imundícia está ainda sobre ele. | 13Whosoever toucheth the dead body of any man that is dead, and purifieth not himself, defileth the tabernacle of the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from Israel: because the water of separation was not sprinkled upon him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is yet upon him. |

| 15Está igualmente impuro todo recipiente aberto que não tenha sido fechado com uma tampa ou com uma atadura. | 15Também, todo vaso aberto, sobre que não houver pano atado, será imundo. | 15And every open vessel, which hath no covering bound upon it, is unclean. |
| 16Todo aquele que estiver no campo e tocar em um ser humano que tenha sido assassinado a espada, ou alguém que tenha sofrido morte natural, ou mesmo num osso humano, ou em uma sepultura, ficará imundo durante sete dias. | 16E todo aquele que no campo tocar alguém que tenha sido morto pela espada, ou outro cadáver, ou um osso de algum homem, ou uma sepultura, será imundo sete dias. | 16And whosoever toucheth one that is slain with a sword in the open fields, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days. |

| 18Em seguida, um homem cerimonialmente purificado pegará um galho de hissopo, o molhará naquela água e a aspergirá sobre a tenda, sobre todos os utensílios e sobre todas as pessoas que ali estiverem, bem como sobre aquela pessoa que houver tocado uma ossada humana, um homem assassinado, qualquer cadáver ou túmulo. | 18e um homem limpo tomará hissopo, e o molhará na água, e a espargirá sobre a tenda, sobre todos os objetos e sobre as pessoas que ali estiverem, como também sobre aquele que tiver tocado o osso, ou o que foi morto, ou o que faleceu, ou a sepultura. | 18And a clean person shall take hyssop, and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it upon the tent, and upon all the vessels, and upon the persons that were there, and upon him that touched a bone, or one slain, or one dead, or a grave: |
| 19Aquele que estiver puro fará aspersão sobre o impuro, no terceiro e no sétimo dia, e no sétimo dia o impuro estará livre da imundícia do seu pecado. Aquele que estava sendo purificado lavará suas vestes e se banhará com água, e ao pôr do sol daquele dia estará puro. | 19Também o limpo, ao terceiro dia e ao sétimo dia, a espargirá sobre o imundo, e ao sétimo dia o purificará; e o que era imundo lavará as suas vestes, e se banhará em água, e à tarde será limpo. | 19And the clean person shall sprinkle upon the unclean on the third day, and on the seventh day: and on the seventh day he shall purify himself, and wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at even. |
| 20Mas, se aquele que estiver imundo não se purificar, será imediatamente banido da congregação, porquanto contaminou de morte o santuário de Yahweh. As águas da purificação não foram aspergidas sobre essa pessoa, e a imundícia permanece sobre ela. | 20Mas o que estiver imundo e não se purificar, esse será extirpado do meio da assembléia, porquanto contaminou o santuário do Senhor; a água de purificação não foi espargida sobre ele; é imundo. | 20But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from among the congregation, because he hath defiled the sanctuary of the LORD: the water of separation hath not been sprinkled upon him; he is unclean. |
| 21Isto será para eles um estatuto perene. Aquele que fizer a aspersão das águas lustrais lavará; suas roupas e aquele que tocou essas águas ficará impuro até à tarde. | 21Isto lhes será por estatuto perpétuo: o que espargir a água de purificação lavará as suas vestes; e o que tocar a água de purificação será imundo até a tarde. | 21And it shall be a perpetual statute unto them, that he that sprinkleth the water of separation shall wash his clothes; and he that toucheth the water of separation shall be unclean until even. |
| 22Tudo aquilo que o impuro tocar ficará imundo também, e a pessoa que o tocar ficará cerimonialmente impura até o pôr do sol. | 22E tudo quanto o imundo tocar também será imundo; e a pessoa que tocar naquilo será imunda até a tarde. | 22And whatsoever the unclean person toucheth shall be unclean; and the soul that toucheth it shall be unclean until even. |
