| 2os anciãos, as autoridades e os juízes sairão e medirão a distância do corpo até as cidades que se localizarem ao redor da vítima. | 2sairão os teus anciãos e os teus juízes, e medirão as distâncias dali até as cidades que estiverem em redor do morto; | 2Then thy elders and thy judges shall come forth, and they shall measure unto the cities which are round about him that is slain: |
| 3A seguir, as autoridades da cidade mais próxima ao cadáver apanharão uma novilha que nunca foi usada no trabalho e sobre a qual nunca foi colocado jugo, | 3e será que, na cidade mais próxima do morto, os anciãos da mesma tomarão uma novilha da manada, que ainda não tenha trabalhado nem tenha puxado na canga, | 3And it shall be, that the city which is next unto the slain man, even the elders of that city shall take an heifer, which hath not been wrought with, and which hath not drawn in the yoke; |
| 4e a conduzirão a um vale de terras nunca aradas, tampouco semeadas, e onde exista um ribeiro de águas que correm permanentemente. Então, nesse local, sobre a torrente, quebrarão o pescoço da novilha. | 4trarão a novilha a um vale de águas correntes, que nunca tenha sido lavrado nem semeado, e ali, naquele vale, quebrarão o pescoço à novilha. | 4And the elders of that city shall bring down the heifer unto a rough valley, which is neither eared nor sown, and shall strike off the heifer's neck there in the valley: |
| 5Depois se aproximarão os sacerdotes levitas, pois foram eles os que o SENHOR, teu Deus, escolheu para seu serviço e para que abençoem em o Nome de Yahweh, cabendo-lhes também resolver qualquer litígio ou crime. | 5Então se achegarão os sacerdotes, filhos de Levi; pois o Senhor teu Deus os escolheu para o servirem, e para abençoarem em nome do Senhor; e segundo a sua sentença se determinará toda demanda e todo ferimento; | 5And the priests the sons of Levi shall come near; for them the LORD thy God hath chosen to minister unto him, and to bless in the name of the LORD; and by their word shall every controversy and every stroke be tried: |
| 6E todos as autoridades da cidade mais próxima ao morto lavarão as mãos sobre a novilha desnucada sobre a corrente das águas, | 6e todos os anciãos da mesma cidade, a mais próxima do morto, lavarão as mãos sobre a novilha cujo pescoço foi quebrado no vale, | 6And all the elders of that city, that are next unto the slain man, shall wash their hands over the heifer that is beheaded in the valley: |
| 7fazendo a seguinte declaração: ‘Nossas mãos não derramaram este sangue inocente, e nossos olhos nada testemunharam. | 7e, protestando, dirão: As nossas mãos não derramaram este sangue, nem os nossos olhos o viram. | 7And they shall answer and say, Our hands have not shed this blood, neither have our eyes seen it. |
| 8Aceita, ó SENHOR, esta propiciação em benefício de Israel, o teu povo, a quem resgataste, ó Yahweh; não julgues o teu povo culpado do sangue de um inocente!’ E assim, a condenação pelo derramamento de sangue será propiciada. | 8Perdoa, ó Senhor, ao teu povo Israel, que tu resgataste, e não ponhas o sangue inocente no meio de teu povo Israel. E aquele sangue lhe será perdoado. | 8Be merciful, O LORD, unto thy people Israel, whom thou hast redeemed, and lay not innocent blood unto thy people of Israel's charge. And the blood shall be forgiven them. |
| 9Tu, porém, farás com que desapareça do teu meio o derramamento de sangue inocente, porque farás o que é justo e digno aos olhos do SENHOR. | 9Assim tirarás do meio de ti o sangue inocente, quando fizeres o que é reto aos olhos do Senhor. | 9So shalt thou put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the LORD. |
| 10Quando saíres à guerra contra os teus inimigos, e Yahweh, teu Deus, os entregar nas tuas mãos, e tu deles levares prisioneiros, | 10Quando saíres à peleja contra os teus inimigos, e o Senhor teu Deus os entregar nas tuas mãos, e os levares cativos, | 10When thou goest forth to war against thine enemies, and the LORD thy God hath delivered them into thine hands, and thou hast taken them captive, |
| 11e tu, entre os presos, vires uma mulher formosa à vista, e a desejares como esposa, | 11se vires entre os cativas uma mulher formosa à vista e, afeiçoando-te a ela, quiseres tomá-la por mulher, | 11And seest among the captives a beautiful woman, and hast a desire unto her, that thou wouldest have her to thy wife; |
| 12então, a trarás para a tua casa, e ela rapará a cabeça, e cortará as suas unhas, | 12então a trarás para a tua casa; e ela, tendo rapado a cabeça, cortado as unhas, | 12Then thou shalt bring her home to thine house; and she shall shave her head, and pare her nails; |
| 13e despirá a veste do seu cativeiro, e se hospedará em tua casa. Durante um mês completo ela poderá prantear e lamentar seu pai e sua mãe. Depois desse período de luto tu poderás chegar-te a ela e oficialmente desposá-la, e ela será tua mulher. | 13e despido as vestes do seu cativeiro, ficará na tua casa, e chorará a seu pai e a sua mãe um mes inteiro; depois disso estarás com ela, e serás seu marido e ela será tua mulher. | 13And she shall put the raiment of her captivity from off her, and shall remain in thine house, and bewail her father and her mother a full month: and after that thou shalt go in unto her, and be her husband, and she shall be thy wife. |
| 14Contudo, com o passar do tempo, se não te sentires feliz com ela, tu a deixarás partir em liberdade, mas de modo algum a venderás por dinheiro, tampouco a tratarás como escrava, pois a tens humilhado, forçando-a a viver matrimonialmente contigo. | 14E, se te enfadares dela, deixá-la-ás ir à sua vontade; mas de modo nenhum a venderás por dinheiro, nem a tratarás como escrava, porque a humilhaste. | 14And it shall be, if thou have no delight in her, then thou shalt let her go whither she will; but thou shalt not sell her at all for money, thou shalt not make merchandise of her, because thou hast humbled her. |
| 15Se um homem tiver duas mulheres e preferir uma delas, e ambas lhe derem filhos, e o filho mais velho for filho da mulher que ele não prefere, | 15Se um homem tiver duas mulheres, uma a quem ama e outra a quem despreza, e ambas lhe tiverem dado filhos, e o filho primogênito for da desprezada, | 15If a man have two wives, one beloved, and another hated, and they have born him children, both the beloved and the hated; and if the firstborn son be hers that was hated: |
| 16este homem, quando for repartir a herança entre seus filhos, não poderá tratar o filho da mulher que ama como se fosse o mais velho, em detrimento do filho da mulher que ele não prefere, mas que é o verdadeiro primogênito. | 16quando fizer herdar a seus filhos o que tiver, não poderá dar a primogenitura ao filho da amada, preferindo-o ao filha da desprezada, que é o primogênito; | 16Then it shall be, when he maketh his sons to inherit that which he hath, that he may not make the son of the beloved firstborn before the son of the hated, which is indeed the firstborn: |
| 17Reconhecerá como primogênito o filho da mulher que ele não prefere, concedendo-lhe porção dupla de tudo quanto possuir, porquanto ele é a primícia da sua virilidade e todos os direitos do filho mais velho, o primogênito, lhe pertencem. | 17mas ao filho da aborrecida reconhecerá por primogênito, dando-lhe dobrada porção de tudo quanto tiver, porquanto ele é as primícias da sua força; o direito da primogenitura é dele. | 17But he shall acknowledge the son of the hated for the firstborn, by giving him a double portion of all that he hath: for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his. |
| 18Se alguém tiver um filho rebelde, contumaz e indócil, que não aprende a obedecer ao pai e à mãe e não dá ouvidos aos bons conselhos, mesmo quando o corrigem e disciplinam, | 18Se alguém tiver um filho contumaz e rebelde, que não obedeça à voz de seu pai e à voz de sua mãe, e que, embora o castiguem, não lhes dê ouvidos, | 18If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them: |
| 19o pai e a mãe o conduzirão até aos anciãos e líderes de sua comunidade, à porta da cidade, | 19seu pai e sua mãe, pegando nele, o levarão aos anciãos da sua cidade, e à porta do seu lugar; | 19Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place; |
| 20e denunciarão às autoridades da cidade: ‘Este nosso filho é por demais teimoso e rebelde; não nos obedece, é devasso e vive embriagado!’ | 20e dirão aos anciãos da cidade: Este nosso filho é contumaz e rebelde; não dá ouvidos à nossa voz; é comilão e beberrão. | 20And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard. |
| 21Então, diante desse depoimento, todos os homens da cidade o apedrejarão até a morte. Assim, portanto, eliminarás o mal do meio do teu povo; todo o Israel ficará sabendo o que ocorreu e ficará temeroso! | 21Então todos os homens da sua cidade o apedrejarão, até que morra; assim exterminarás o mal do meio de ti; e todo o Israel, ouvindo isso, temerá. | 21And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear. |
| 22Se um homem, culpado de um crime que merece a pena de morte, é morto e suspenso a uma árvore, | 22Se um homem tiver cometido um pecado digno de morte, e for morto, e o tiveres pendurado num madeiro, | 22And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree: |
| 23seu cadáver não poderá permanecer na árvore durante a noite; tu o sepultarás naquele mesmo dia, pois o que for pendurado num madeiro está debaixo da maldição do desprezo de Deus. Sendo assim, não tornarás impura a terra que o Eterno, o SENHOR, teu Deus, te dá como herança! | 23o seu cadáver não permanecerá toda a noite no madeiro, mas certamente o enterrarás no mesmo dia; porquanto aquele que é pendurado é maldito de Deus. Assim não contaminarás a tua terra, que o Senhor teu Deus te dá em herança. | 23His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance. |
