| 2Ó montes, e vós, fundamentos perpétuos da terra, ouvi a acusação de Yahweh; porque o SENHOR tem uma grave questão para resolver com o seu povo e entrará em juízo contra Israel. | 2Ouvi, montes, a demanda do Senhor, e vós, fundamentos duradouros da terra; porque o Senhor tem uma demanda com o seu povo e com Israel entrará em juízo. | 2Hear ye, O mountains, the LORD'S controversy, and ye strong foundations of the earth: for the LORD hath a controversy with his people, and he will plead with Israel. |
| 3Ó meu povo, dize-me claramente: Que é que te fiz de mal? Em que te ofendi? Responde-me! | 3ç povo meu, que é que te tenho feito? e em que te enfadei? testifica contra mim. | 3O my people, what have I done unto thee? and wherein have I wearied thee? testify against me. |
| 4Ora, eu te livrei da terra do Egito e te resgatei da casa da escravidão; e enviei Moisés, Arão e Miriã adiante de ti. | 4Pois te fiz subir da terra do Egito, e da casa da servidão te remi; e enviei adiante de ti a Moisés, Arão e Miriã. | 4For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of servants; and I sent before thee Moses, Aaron, and Miriam. |
| 5Meu povo querido, lembra-te do que Balaque, rei de Moabe, pediu e do que Balaão, filho de Beor, respondeu! Relembra a viagem que fizeste desde Sitim até Gilgal, e reconhece que todas as atitudes de Yahwehsão justas!” | 5Povo meu, lembra-te agora da consulta de Balaque, rei de Meabe, e do que lhe respondeu Balaão, filho de Beor, e do que sucedeu desde Sitini até Gilgal, para que conheças as justiças do Senhor. | 5O my people, remember now what Balak king of Moab consulted, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim unto Gilgal; that ye may know the righteousness of the LORD. |
| 6Sendo assim, com que eu devo me apresentar diante do SENHOR e como me curvarei perante Elohim, Deus exaltado? Deveria eu oferecer holocaustos, sacrifícios queimados, de bezerros de um ano? | 6Com que me apresentarei diante do Senhor, e me prostrarei perante o Deus excelso? Apresentar-me-ei diante dele com holocausto, com bezerros de um ano? | 6Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old? |
| 7Yahwehse agradaria com milhares de carneiros, com dez mil ribeiros de azeite? Devo oferecer meu primogênito, meu filho mais velho, fruto do meu corpo, como sacrifício para pagar os meus pecados e as minhas malignidades? | 7Agradar-se-á o Senhor de milhares de carneiros, ou de miríades de ribeiros de azeite? Darei o meu primogênito pela minha transgressão, o fruto das minhas entranhas pelo pecado da minha alma? | 7Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? |
| 8Ó ser humano! Ele já te revelou o que é bom; e o que Yahwehexige de ti senão apenas que pratiques a justiça, ames a misericórdia e a lealdade, e andes humildemente na companhia do teu Deus! | 8Ele te declarou, ó homem, o que é bom; e que é o que o Senhor requer de ti, senão que pratiques a justiça, e ames a benevolência, e andes humildemente com o teu Deus? | 8He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? |
| 9Eis que a voz de Yahwehestá clamando à cidade; e todo aquele que for sábio temerá o seu Nome! Escutai, pois, ó tribo de Judá e suas assembleias! | 9A voz do Senhor clama à cidade, e o que é sábio temerá o teu nome. Escutai a vara, e quem a ordenou. | 9The LORD'S voice crieth unto the city, and the man of wisdom shall see thy name: hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it. |
| 10Porventura ainda há tesouros de malignidade na casa do ímpio? E o efa, o padrão de medir, falsificado, que é maldito? | 10Porventura ainda há na casa do impio tesouros de impiedade? e a efa desfalcada, que é detestável? | 10Are there yet the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure that is abominable? |
| 11Poderia eu inocentar aquele que tem balanças adulteradas e fraudulentas, e uma bolsa de pesos enganosos? | 11Justificerei ao que tem balanças falsas, e uma bolsa de pesos enganosos? | 11Shall I count them pure with the wicked balances, and with the bag of deceitful weights? |
| 12Pois os ricos que vivem entre vós na cidade estão cheios de violência; o seu povo é mentiroso, e as suas línguas só falam enganos! | 12Pois os ricos da cidade estão cheios de violência, e os seus habitantes falam mentiras, e a lingua deles é enganosa na sua boca. | 12For the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth. |
| 13Portanto, Eu mesmo haverei de te enfraquecer, te ferindo e arruinando por causa dos teus muitos pecados. | 13Assim eu tambem te enfraquecerei, ferindo-te e assolando-te, por causa dos teus pecados. | 13Therefore also will I make thee sick in smiting thee, in making thee desolate because of thy sins. |
| 14Tu comerás, mas não te saciarás, e continuamente estarás com fome; acumularás os teus bens, mas nada conseguirás poupar, Eu te entregarei à espada. | 14Tu comerás, mas não te fartarás; e a tua fome estará sempre contigo; removerás os teus bens, mas nada livrarás; e aquilo que livrares, eu o entregarei à espada. | 14Thou shalt eat, but not be satisfied; and thy casting down shall be in the midst of thee; and thou shalt take hold, but shalt not deliver; and that which thou deliverest will I give up to the sword. |
| 15Tu semearás, mas não colherás; pisarás a azeitona, mas não te ungirás de azeite; pisarás as uvas, mas não beberás o vinho. | 15Tu semearás, mas não segarás; pisarás a azeitona, mas não te ungirás de azeite; e pisarás a vindima, mas não beberás o vinho. | 15Thou shalt sow, but thou shalt not reap; thou shalt tread the olives, but thou shalt not anoint thee with oil; and sweet wine, but shalt not drink wine. |
| 16Porquanto tendes obedecido aos decretos do rei Onri, e todas as práticas malignas da família de Acabe, e tens seguido as tradições deles. Por tudo isso vos entregarei à destruição, e o seu povo ao desprezo e humilhação; sofrerás o escárnio das nações!” | 16Porque se observam os estatutos de Onri, e todas as obras da casa de Acabe, e vós andais nos conselhos deles; para que eu faça de ti uma desolação, e dos seus habitantes um assobio. Assim trareis sobre vós o opróbrio do meu povo. | 16For the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the works of the house of Ahab, and ye walk in their counsels; that I should make thee a desolation, and the inhabitants thereof an hissing: therefore ye shall bear the reproach of my people. |
