| 16Mesmo assim, nem todos os israelitas aceitaram o Evangelho; porquanto, declarou Isaías: “Senhor, quem acreditou em nossa mensagem?” | 16Mas nem todos deram ouvidos ao evangelho; pois Isaías diz: Senhor, quem deu crédito à nossa mensagem? | 16But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? |
| 17Como conseqüência, a fé vem pelo ouvir as boas novas, e as boas novas vêm pela Palavra de Cristo. | 17Logo a fé é pelo ouvir, e o ouvir pela palavra de Cristo. | 17So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. |

| 19Ora, questiono outra vez: Será que Israel não compreendeu a mensagem? Em primeiro lugar, Moisés proclamou: “Farei que tenham ciúmes de quem não é meu povo; Eu os provocarei à ira por meio de um povo sem entendimento”. | 19Mas pergunto ainda: Porventura Israel não o soube? Primeiro diz Moisés: Eu vos porei em ciúmes com aqueles que não são povo, com um povo insensato vos provocarei à ira. | 19But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you. |
