| 2“Assim ordena Yahweh, o Deus de Israel: Escreve sobre um meghillath sêphër, rolo do livro, todas as palavras que Eu te disse. | 2Assim diz o Senhor, Deus de Israel: Escreve num livro todas as palavras que te falei; | 2Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book. |
| 3Porquanto, dias virão”, diz o SENHOR, “em que mudarei o destino do meu povo, Israel e Judá, e os farei retornar à terra que dei aos seus antepassados, e eles, dela tomarão posse!”, assevera Yahweh. | 3pois eis que vêm os dias, diz o Senhor, em que farei voltar do cativeiro o meu povo Israel e Judá, diz o Senhor; e tornarei a trazê-los à terra que dei a seus pais, e a possuirão. | 3For, lo, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the LORD: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it. |
| 4Estas são, pois, as palavras que o SENHOR comunicou acerca de Israel e de Judá: | 4E estas são as palavras que disse o Senhor, acerca de Israel e de Judá. | 4And these are the words that the LORD spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah. |
| 5“Assim diz Yahweh: Ouvimos gritos horríveis, de grande pavor, mas nenhum brado de paz! | 5Assim, pois, diz o Senhor: Ouvimos uma voz de tremor, de temor mas não de paz. | 5For thus saith the LORD; We have heard a voice of trembling, of fear, and not of peace. |
| 6Indagai, pois, e considerai se um homem é capaz de dar à luz. Ora, por que, então, vejo todos os homens com as mãos sobre o ventre como é comum às mulheres em trabalho de parto? Por que todos os rostos estão descorados, pálidos? | 6Perguntai, pois, e vede, se um homem pode dar à luz. Por que, pois, vejo a cada homem com as mãos sobre os lombos como a que está de parto? Por que empalideceram todos os rostos? | 6Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness? |
| 7Ah! Como será terrível aquele Dia! Incomparavelmente doloroso! Será um tempo de tremenda angústia para Jacó; contudo, ele será salvo. | 7Ah! porque aquele dia é tão grande, que não houve outro semelhante! É tempo de angústia para Jacó; todavia, há de ser livre dela. | 7Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it. |
| 8“Naquele Dia”, afirma o Eterno Todo-Poderoso, “quebrarei o jugo que está sobre o pescoço deles e arrebentarei as suas correntes; não mais serão escravizados por qualquer outra nação; | 8E será naquele dia, diz o Senhor dos exércitos, que eu quebrarei o jugo de sobre o seu pescoço, e romperei as suas brochas. Nunca mais se servirão dele os estrangeiros; | 8For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him: |
| 9mas servirão a Yahweh, seu Deus, como também a Davi, seu rei, que lhes designarei. | 9mas ele servirá ao Senhor, seu Deus, como também a Davi, seu rei, que lhe levantarei. | 9But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them. |
| 10Portanto, não temas, Jacó, meu servo, nem te assustes, ó Israel!”, assevera o SENHOR. “Eu mesmo te salvarei de um lugar distante, e os seus descendentes, da terra do seu exílio. Jacó retornará e se estabelecerá em paz e segurança, e ninguém voltará a atemorizar-te. | 10Não temas pois tu, servo meu, Jacó, diz o Senhor, nem te espantes, ó Israel; pois eis que te livrarei de terras longinquas, se à tua descendência da terra do seu cativeiro; e Jacó voltará, e ficará tranqüilo e sossegado, e não haverá quem o atemorize. | 10Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid. |
| 11Porquanto Eu sou contigo para te salvar!”, afirma Yahweh. “Destruirei por completo todas as nações entre as quais Eu mesmo te espalhei. A ti, entretanto, não exterminarei, mas certamente te castigarei com medida justa. Ora, de modo algum te livrarei do teu merecido corretivo. | 11Porque eu sou contigo, diz o Senhor, para te salvar; porquanto darei fim cabal a todas as nações entre as quais te espalhei; a ti, porém, não darei fim, mas castigar-te-ei com medida justa, e de maneira alguma te terei por inocente. | 11For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished. |
| 12Porque assim afirma o SENHOR: “A tua fratura é irremediável, e a tua ferida, gravíssima! | 12Porque assim diz o Senhor: Incurável é a tua fratura, e gravíssima a tua ferida. | 12For thus saith the LORD, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous. |
| 13Não há quem possa defender a tua causa; não há remédio nem cura para o teu ferimento que não consegue cicatrizar-se. | 13Não há quem defenda a tua causa; para a tua ferida não há remédio nem cura. | 13There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines. |
| 14Todos os teus amantes se esqueceram de ti; não te procuram nem se importam contigo. Eu a golpeei com a violência de um inimigo; ministrei-te um castigo cruel, porquanto grande é a tua malignidade e numerosos são os teus erros e pecados. | 14Todos os teus amantes se esqueceram de ti; não te procuram; pois te feri com ferida de inimigo, e com castigo de quem é cruel, porque é grande a tua culpa, e têm-se multiplicado os teus pecados. | 14All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not; for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased. |
| 15Por que gritas de dor? Por causa da tua ferida aberta e incurável? Ora, tive que puni-la deste modo por causa da imensidão da tua iniquidade, e por se terem multiplicado os teus pecados. | 15Por que gritas por causa da tua fratura? tua dor é incurável. Por ser grande a tua culpa, e por se terem multiplicado os teus pecados, é que te fiz estas coisas. | 15Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee. |
| 16Contudo, todos os que te devoram serão devorados, e todos os teus adversários serão mandados para o exílio. E os que te assaltam e despojam serão igualmente espoliados, e entregarei como saque todos os que te saqueiam. | 16Portanto todos os que te devoram serão devorados, e todos os teus adversários irão, todos eles, para o cativeiro; e os que te roubam serão roubados, e a todos os que te saqueiam entregarei ao saque. | 16Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey. |
| 17Eis que farei cicatrizar o teu ferimento e curarei todas as tuas feridas!”, garante Yahweh, “porque chamaram-te a rejeitada, Sião, aquela por quem ninguém mais procura, tampouco se importa.” | 17Pois te restaurarei a saúde e te sararei as feridas, diz o Senhor; porque te chamaram a repudiada, dizendo: É Sião, à qual já ninguém procura. | 17For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after. |
| 18Assim diz o SENHOR: “Eis que mudarei a sorte das tendas de Jacó e terei compaixão das tuas moradas. A cidade será reconstruída sobre as suas ruínas e o palácio no seu devido lugar. | 18Assim diz o Senhor: Eis que acabarei o cativeiro das tendas de Jacó, e apiedarme-ei das suas moradas; e a cidade será reedificada sobre o seu montão, e o palácio permanecerá como habitualmente. | 18Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob's tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof. |
| 19Então por toda parte se ouvirá brados de ações de graça e o som alegre de júbilo. Eu farei com que meu povo cresça e multiplique-se, que seu número de pessoas jamais diminua; Eu os honrarei, e não serão desprezados. | 19E sairá deles ação de graças e a voz dos que se alegram; e multiplicá-los-ei, e não serão diminuídos; glorificá-los-ei, e não serão apoucados. | 19And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small. |
| 20Seus filhos serão como nos tempos antigos, e a sua comunidade será estabelecida diante de mim; castigarei todos aqueles que os oprimem. | 20E seus filhos serão como na antigüidade, e a sua congregação será estabelecida diante de mim, e castigarei todos os seus opressores. | 20Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them. |
| 21Seu líder será um dentre eles; seu governante virá igualmente do meio deles. Eu os atrairei para perto e ele se aproximará de mim; porquanto quem se arriscaria a chegar perto da minha pessoa?”, indaga Yahweh. | 21E o seu príncipe será deles, e o seu governador sairá do meio deles; e o farei aproximar, e ele se chegará a mim. Pois quem por si mesmo ousaria chegar-se a mim? diz o Senhor. | 21And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? saith the LORD. |
| 22“Então, vós sereis o meu povo e Eu serei o vosso Deus. | 22E vós sereis o meu povo, e eu serei o vosso Deus. | 22And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. |
| 23Ai está a tempestade do SENHOR! A sua fúria já foi desencadeada; um vendaval arrasador se precipitará sobre a cabeça dos ímpios. | 23Eis a tempestade do Senhor! A sua indignação já saiu, uma tempestade varredora; cairá cruelmente sobre a cabeça dos impios. | 23Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked. |
| 24A ira de Yahweh não se afastará até que ele tenha completado todos os seus propósitos. Em dias vindouros tudo isso ficará mais claro e entendereis completamente!” | 24Não retrocederá o furor da ira do Senhor, até que ele tenha executado, e até que tenha cumprido os desígnios do seu coração. Nos últimos dias entendereis isso. | 24The fierce anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it. |
