| 15Eu estou contigo e te guardarei em todo lugar aonde fores, e te reconduzirei a esta terra, porque não te deixarei enquanto não cumprir Eu tudo o que te prometi!” | 15Eis que estou contigo, e te guardarei por onde quer que fores, e te farei tornar a esta terra; pois não te deixarei até que haja cumprido aquilo de que te tenho falado. | 15And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of. |
| 16Jacó acordou de seu sono e fez o seguinte comentário: “Na verdade o SENHOR está neste lugar e eu não sabia!” | 16Ao acordar Jacó do seu sono, disse: Realmente o Senhor está neste lugar; e eu não o sabia. | 16And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not. |
| 17Então sentiu medo e exclamou: “Quão temível é este lugar! Certamente não é outro, senão bêt El, a casa de Deus; eis que encontrei a porta dos céus!” | 17E temeu, e disse: Quão terrível é este lugar! Este não é outro lugar senão a casa de Deus; e esta é a porta dos céus. | 17And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven. |
| 18Levantando-se antes do raiar do sol, tomou a pedra que lhe servira de travesseiro, colocou-a em pé como um pilar e derramou óleo puro sobre seu topo. | 18Jacó levantou-se de manhã cedo, tomou a pedra que pusera debaixo da cabeça, e a pôs como coluna; e derramou-lhe azeite em cima. | 18And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it. |
| 19A esse lugar deu o nome de bêt El, Betel, casa de Deus, embora a cidade anteriormente se chamasse Luz. | 19E chamou aquele lugar Betel; porém o nome da cidade antes era Luz. | 19And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city was called Luz at the first. |
| 20Então, em Betel, Jacó fez o seguinte voto: “Se Deus estiver comigo e me guardar no caminho por onde eu andar, cuidar de mim, provendo-me pão para comer e roupas para vestir, | 20Fez também Jacó um voto, dizendo: Se Deus for comigo e me guardar neste caminho que vou seguindo, e me der pão para comer e vestes para vestir, | 20And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on, |
| 21se eu voltar são e salvo para a casa de meu pai, então Yahweh será o meu Deus! | 21de modo que eu volte em paz à casa de meu pai, e se o Senhor for o meu Deus, | 21So that I come again to my father's house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God: |
| 22E esta pedra que hoje coloquei como coluna servirá de santuário de Deus; e de tudo o que me deres certamente te devolverei a décima parte como oferta de louvor!” | 22então esta pedra que tenho posto como coluna será casa de Deus; e de tudo quanto me deres, certamente te darei o dízimo. | 22And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God's house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee. |
