| 8Abimeleque levantou-se bem cedo e chamou todos os seus servos. Contou-lhes tudo o que havia acontecido e seus homens tiveram grande temor. | 8Levantou-se Abimeleque de manhã cedo e, chamando a todos os seus servos, falou-lhes aos ouvidos todas estas palavras; e os homens temeram muito. | 8Therefore Abimelech rose early in the morning, and called all his servants, and told all these things in their ears: and the men were sore afraid. |

Tu me fizeste o que não se deve fazer. | 9Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, What hast thou done unto us? and what have I offended thee, that thou hast brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? thou hast done deeds unto me that ought not to be done. |

| 11Abraão replicou: “Eu disse para comigo: Certamente, não haverá nenhum temor de Deus neste lugar, e me matarão por causa de minha mulher. | 11Respondeu Abraão: Porque pensei: Certamente não há temor de Deus neste lugar; matar-me-ão por causa da minha mulher. | 11And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife's sake. |
