| 3Certamente a terra será totalmente saqueada e destruída, porquanto foi Yahweh, o SENHOR, quem proferiu esta sentença. | 3De todo se esvaziará a terra, e de todo será saqueada, porque o Senhor pronunciou esta palavra. | 3The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word. |
| 4A terra seca e cobre-se de luto, ela perece; o mundo definha e murcha, os nobres da terra consomem-se. | 4A terra pranteia e se murcha; o mundo enfraquece e se murcha; enfraquecem os mais altos do povo da terra. | 4The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish. |
| 5A terra está contaminada pelos seus próprios habitantes; afinal, a humanidade desobedeceu às leis, violou os decretos e quebrou a aliança eterna. | 5Na verdade a terra está contaminada debaixo dos seus habitantes; porquanto transgridem as leis, mudam os estatutos, e quebram o pacto eterno. | 5The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. |
| 6Por este motivo a maldição consome a terra e seu povo é culpado. Por isso os habitantes da terra serão extinguidos pelo fogo, até que restem apenas alguns poucos seres humanos. | 6Por isso a maldição devora a terra, e os que habitam nela sofrem por serem culpados; por isso são queimados os seus habitantes, e poucos homens restam. | 6Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left. |

| 8O som festivo e alegre dos tamborins calou-se, o barulho dos que festejavam cessou, a harpa que tocava cheia de júbilo não tange mais. | 8Cessa o folguedo dos tamboris, acaba a algazarra dos jubilantes, cessa a alegria da harpa. | 8The mirth of tabrets ceaseth, the noise of them that rejoice endeth, the joy of the harp ceaseth. |

| 13Assim será na terra, entre todas as nações, como quando se usa a vara na oliveira ou se buscam os restos das uvas após a colheita. | 13Pois será no meio da terra, entre os povos, como a sacudidura da oliveira, e como os rabiscos, quando está acabada a vindima. | 13When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people, there shall be as the shaking of an olive tree, and as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done. |
| 14Erguem as vozes, cantam de júbilo; desde o Ocidente aclamam a majestade de Yahweh. | 14Estes alçarão a sua voz, bradando de alegria; por causa da majestade do Senhor clamarão desde o mar. | 14They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the LORD, they shall cry aloud from the sea. |
| 15Deem glória, porquanto, a Yahweh, o SENHOR, no Oriente, e nas ilhas do mar exaltem o Nome do SENHOR: Yahweh, o Deus de Israel. | 15Por isso glorificai ao Senhor no Oriente, e na região litorânea do mar ao nome do Senhor Deus de Israel. | 15Wherefore glorify ye the LORD in the fires, even the name of the LORD God of Israel in the isles of the sea. |
| 16Desde os confins da terra ouvimos ressoar o cântico: “Glória seja dada ao Justo!” Contudo eu clamei: “Ai de mim! Que desgraça! Não aguento mais! Porquanto os traidores continuam agindo traiçoeiramente; há falsidade por toda parte!” | 16Dos confins da terra ouvimos cantar: Glória ao Justo. Mas eu digo: Emagreço, emagreço, ai de mim! os pérfidos tratam perfidamente; sim, os pérfidos tratam muito perfidamente. | 16From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, even glory to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously. |

Eis que os alicerces da terra tremem! | 18Aquele que fugir da voz do pavor cairá na cova, e o que subir da cova o laço o prenderá; porque as janelas do alto se abriram, e os fundamentos da terra tremem. | 18And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake. |

| 21E acontecerá naquele grande Dia: Yahweh castigará os poderes em cima nos céus, e os reis e governantes embaixo na terra. | 21Naquele dia o Senhor castigará os exércitos do alto nas alturas, e os reis da terra sobre a terra. | 21And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth. |
| 22Eles serão reunidos, tal qual um bando de prisioneiros condenados à mesma masmorra, trancafiados numa prisão onde aguardarão a punição final depois de muito tempo. | 22E serão ajuntados como presos numa cova, e serão encerrados num cárcere; e serão punidos depois de muitos dias. | 22And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited. |
| 23A lua, pois, ficará humilhada, e o sol, confuso e envergonhado, porquanto Yahweh, o SENHOR dos Exércitos reina no monte Sião e em Jerusalém: absoluto e glorioso diante dos seus líderes e anciãos! | 23Então a lua se confundirá, e o sol se envergonhará, pois o Senhor dos exércitos reinará no monte Sião e em Jerusalém; e perante os seus anciãos manifestará a sua glória. | 23Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously. |
