Teu pai era amorreu, e a tua mãe hitita. | 3e dize: Assim diz o Senhor Deus a Jerusalém: A tua origem e o teu nascimento procedem da terra dos cananeus. Teu pai era amorreu, e a tua mãe hetéia. | 3And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto Jerusalem; Thy birth and thy nativity is of the land of Canaan; thy father was an Amorite, and thy mother an Hittite. |

| 5Ninguém cuidou de ti com carinho; ninguém olhou para ti com compaixão, tampouco teve piedade de ti. Ninguém se dispôs a fazer nada disso em teu favor. | 11E adornei todo o teu corpo com jóias, e coloquei braceletes nos teus braços e uma rica gargantilha em teu pescoço. | 11Também te ornei de enfeites, e te pus braceletes nas mãos e um colar ao pescoço. | 11I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck. |
| 12Também te coloquei um pingente no nariz, brincos nas orelhas e depositei em tua cabeça uma preciosa coroa nupcial. | 12E te pus um pendente no nariz, e arrecadas nas orelhas, e uma linda coroa na cabeça. | 12And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head. |
| 13Assim foste adornada de ouro e prata, e o teu vestido era de linho especial, de seda e de bordados; e te nutriste do que há de melhor em farinha, mel e azeite; te tornaste assim na mais bela das rainhas. | 13Assim foste ornada de ouro e prata, e o teu vestido foi de linho fino, de seda e de bordados; de flor de farinha te nutriste, e de mel e azeite; e chegaste a ser formosa em extremo, e subiste até a realeza. | 13Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom. |
| 14A fama da tua beleza singular espalhou-se entre todas as nações, porquanto Eu te fiz perfeita, graças a glória e ao esplendor com que Eu te entreguei, diz Yahweh, o SENHOR Deus. | 14Correu a tua fama entre as nações, por causa da tua formosura, pois era perfeita, graças ao esplendor que eu tinha posto sobre ti, diz o Senhor Deus. | 14And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD. |
| 15Entretanto, tu confiaste demais em tua aparência, e por vangloriar-se da tua beleza usaste a tua fama para te corromperes e prostituíres. Concedeste favores a todos os que passaram por perto de ti, e a tua beleza passou a pertencer a outros. | 15Mas confiaste na tua formosura, e te corrompeste por causa da tua fama; e derramavas as tuas prostituições sobre todo o que passava, para seres dele. | 15But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every one that passed by; his it was. |
| 16Chegaste ao ponto de usar algumas de tuas roupas mais finas para adornar altares idólatras, onde se intensificou a tua prostituição. Ah! Casos como este jamais deveriam ocorrer! | 16E tomaste dos teus vestidos e fizeste lugares altos adornados de diversas cores, e te prostituíste sobre eles, como nunca sucedera, nem sucederá. | 16And of thy garments thou didst take, and deckedst thy high places with divers colours, and playedst the harlot thereupon: the like things shall not come, neither shall it be so. |

| 19E até o pão que te dei, o melhor da farinha, do azeite e do mel; o melhor dos mantimentos com os quais te sustentava, da mesma forma apresentaste em oferta queimada diante destas imagens idólatras como incenso suave, denuncia Yahweh, o SENHOR Deus! | 19E o meu pão que te dei, a flor de farinha, e o azeite e o mel, com que eu te sustentava, também puseste diante delas em cheiro suave, diz o Senhor Deus. | 19My meat also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, wherewith I fed thee, thou hast even set it before them for a sweet savour: and thus it was, saith the Lord GOD. |
| 20E não bastasse tanta prostituição, tomaste teus próprios filhos e filhas que havias gerado para mim, e os sacrificou em holocausto como alimento para os teus ídolos. Acaso foi a tua prostituição de tão pouca monta, | 20Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou sacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this of thy whoredoms a small matter, |
| 21Foi necessário matar meus filhos e entregá-los como oferta queimada aos teus ídolos? | 21que havias de matar meus filhos e lhos entregar, fazendo os passar pelo fogo? | 21That thou hast slain my children, and delivered them to cause them to pass through the fire for them? |
| 22E, em todas as tuas abominações e prostituições, não te lembraste, em nenhum momento, dos dias da tua origem, quando em tua primeira infância esperneavas, nua e abandonada, numa poça com teu sangue! | 22E em todas as tuas abominações, e nas tuas prostituições, não te lembraste dos dias da tua mocidade, quando tu estavas nua e descoberta, e jazias no teu sangue. | 22And in all thine abominations and thy whoredoms thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare, and wast polluted in thy blood. |
| 23Ai, ai, te ti! Oráculo de Yahweh, Deus Soberano. Somando-se a todas as suas outras malignidades, | 23E sucedeu, depois de toda a tua maldade (ai, ai de ti! diz o Senhor Deus), | 23And it came to pass after all thy wickedness, (woe, woe unto thee! saith the Lord GOD;) |
| 24em cada praça pública construíste para tua própria vaidade e prostituição altares e santuários elevados. | 24que te edificaste uma câmara abobadada, e fizeste lugares altos em todas as praças. | 24That thou hast also built unto thee an eminent place, and hast made thee an high place in every street. |
| 25Edificaste teus altares em cada canto do caminho e fizeste abominável a tua beleza; e oferecias teu próprio corpo com promiscuidade cada vez maior a qualquer um que passasse. | 25A cada canto do caminho edificaste o teu lugar alto, e fizeste abominável a tua formosura, e alargaste os teus pés a todo o que passava, e multiplicaste as tuas prostituições. | 25Thou hast built thy high place at every head of the way, and hast made thy beauty to be abhorred, and hast opened thy feet to every one that passed by, and multiplied thy whoredoms. |
| 26Também te prostituíste com os egípcios, teus vizinhos cobiçosos, e assim provocaste toda a minha indignação à medida que multiplicavas tua volúpia e lascívia. | 26Também te prostituíste com os egípcios, teus vizinbos, grandemente carnais; e multiplicaste a tua prostituição, para me provocares à ira. | 26Thou hast also committed fornication with the Egyptians thy neighbours, great of flesh; and hast increased thy whoredoms, to provoke me to anger. |
| 27Por isso estendi meu braço contra ti e cortei parte da tua porção, isto é, do território; e mais, eis que Eu mesmo te entregarei à vontade de tuas inimigas, as filhas dos filisteus, que ficaram chocadas com a tua atitude lasciva e libertina. | 27Pelo que estendi a minha mão sobre ti, e diminuí a tua porção; e te entreguei à vontade dos que te odeiam, das filhas dos filisteus, as quais se envergonhavam do teu caminho depravado. | 27Behold, therefore I have stretched out my hand over thee, and have diminished thine ordinary food, and delivered thee unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, which are ashamed of thy lewd way. |

| 29Multiplicaste em muito as tuas promiscuidades na terra do comércio, isto é, na Babilônia, e nem assim encontraste paz e ficaste satisfeita. | 29Demais multiplicaste as tuas prostituições na terra de tráfico, isto é, até Caldéia, e nem ainda com isso te fartaste. | 29Thou hast moreover multiplied thy fornication in the land of Canaan unto Chaldea; and yet thou wast not satisfied herewith. |
| 30Ora, como tens pouca força de vontade, Palavra de Yahweh, o Soberano Deus, quando comete todos estes erros, agindo como uma prostituta descarada, | 30Quão fraco é teu coração, diz o Senhor Deus, fazendo tu todas estas coisas, obra duma meretriz desenfreada, | 30How weak is thine heart, saith the Lord GOD, seeing thou doest all these things, the work of an imperious whorish woman; |
| 31construindo o teu prostíbulo idólatra na esquina de cada caminho, e fazendo o teu altar em cada rua! Não procedeste nem sequer como a aquela que vende seu próprio corpo, porquanto desprezaste qualquer pagamento; | 31edificando a tua câmara abobadada no canto de cada caminho, e fazendo o teu lugar alto em cada rua! Não foste sequer como a meretriz, pois desprezaste a paga; | 31In that thou buildest thine eminent place in the head of every way, and makest thine high place in every street; and hast not been as an harlot, in that thou scornest hire; |
| 32és como a mulher adúltera que, em lugar de amar o marido, prefere apaixonar-se por estranhos. | 32tens sido como a mulher adúltera que, em lugar de seu marido, recebe os estranhos. | 32But as a wife that committeth adultery, which taketh strangers instead of her husband! |
| 33Toda prostituta recebe pagamento por seus serviços, mas tu, em tua insensatez, dá presentes a todos os teus amantes, subornando-os para que venham de todos os lugares a fim de receber de ti os teus favores imorais e libidinosos. | 33A todas as meretrizes se dá a sua paga, mas tu dás presentes a todos es teus amantes; e lhes dás peitas, para que venham a ti de todas as partes, pelas tuas prostituições. | 33They give gifts to all whores: but thou givest thy gifts to all thy lovers, and hirest them, that they may come unto thee on every side for thy whoredom. |
| 34Em tua prostituição dá-se o contrário do que ocorre com outras mulheres; ninguém te procura nem rodeia em busca dos teus favores. Vais além da prostituição, porquanto, faz questão de pagar pela atenção de estranhos, e nada recebes em troca! | 34Assim és diferente de outras mulheres nas tuas prostituições; pois ninguém te procura para prostituição; pelo contrário tu dás a paga, e não a recebes; assim és diferente. | 34And the contrary is in thee from other women in thy whoredoms, whereas none followeth thee to commit whoredoms: and in that thou givest a reward, and no reward is given unto thee, therefore thou art contrary. |

| 36Assim diz Yahweh, o SENHOR Deus: Por teres desperdiçado a tua riqueza mais preciosa e ter exposto a tua nudez em prostituição com os teus amantes, por causa de todos os teus ídolos abomináveis, e do sangue dos teus próprios filhos sacrificados que lhes deste; | 36Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Pois que se derramou a tua lascívia, e se descobriu a tua nudez nas tuas prostituições com os teus amantes; por causa também de todos os ídolos das tuas abominações, e do sangue de teus filhos que lhes deste; | 36Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thy filthiness was poured out, and thy nakedness discovered through thy whoredoms with thy lovers, and with all the idols of thy abominations, and by the blood of thy children, which thou didst give unto them; |
| 37por tudo isso, ajuntarei todos os teus amantes, com os quais tiveste muitas alegrias e prazer, tanto os que amaste como aqueles que odiaste; Eu mesmo os convocarei para atacar-te de todos os lados a fim de que fiques totalmente despida diante deles! | 40Então farão subir uma grande multidão contra ti, te apedrejarão e te traspassarão com a espada. | 40Então farão subir uma hoste contra ti, e te apedrejarão, e te traspassarão com as suas espadas. | 40They shall also bring up a company against thee, and they shall stone thee with stones, and thrust thee through with their swords. |
| 41Incendiarão tuas casas e executarão juízos contra ti, diante de uma multidão de mulheres. Todavia, eis que Eu colocarei um ponto final em tua libertinagem e prostituição e jamais voltarás a pagar pela atenção dos teus amantes. | 41E queimarão as tuas casas a fogo, e executarão juízos contra ti, à vista de muitas mulheres; e te farei cessar de ser meretriz, e paga não darás mais. | 41And they shall burn thine houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women: and I will cause thee to cease from playing the harlot, and thou also shalt give no hire any more. |
| 42Depois de tudo isso, a minha grande ira e indignação contra ti se aplacará, e o meu zelo e ardente ciúme se afastará de ti; em seguida me acalmarei e, mais tranquilo, abandonarei a minha indignação. | 42Assim satisfarei em ti o meu furor, e os meus ciúmes se desviarão de ti; também me aquietarei, e não tornarei mais a me indignar. | 42So will I make my fury toward thee to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from thee, and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry. |
| 43Eis que farei cair as tuas obras sobre a tua própria cabeça, porque não te lembraste dos dias da tua primeira infância, mas me provocaste à ira com tuas atitudes e ações libertinas, declara Yahweh, o SENHOR. Contudo, dize-me: Por que é que, além de todas as tuas práticas nojentas, ainda fostes te entregar à tamanha depravação? | 43Porquanto não te lembraste dos dias da tua mocidade, mas me provocaste à ira com todas estas coisas, eis que eu farei recair o teu caminho sobre a tua cabeça diz o Senhor Deus. Pois não acrescentaste a infidelidade a todas as tuas abominações? | 43Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast fretted me in all these things; behold, therefore I also will recompense thy way upon thine head, saith the Lord GOD: and thou shalt not commit this lewdness above all thine abominations. |
| 44Desde agora, todas as pessoas que gostam de citar provérbios haverão de dizer: ‘Tal mãe, tal filha’, referindo-se a ti. | 44Eis que todo o que usa de provérbios usará contra ti deste provérbio: Tal mãe, tal filha. | 44Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall use this proverb against thee, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter. |
| 45De fato, tu és filha de tua mãe, Canaã, que tinha nojo de seu marido e de seus filhos; e tu és ainda exatamente como tuas irmãs, que rejeitavam seus maridos e seus filhos. | 47Entretanto, não te contentaste em andar teus caminhos, nem fizeste apenas conforme as tuas práticas repugnantes; porém, como se tudo isso ainda fosse pouco, entregaste à degradação mais do que elas em todos os teus erros. | 47Todavia não andaste nos seus caminhos, nem fizeste conforme as suas abominações; mas, como se isso mui pouco fora, ainda te corrompeste mais do que elas, em todos os teus caminhos. | 47Yet hast thou not walked after their ways, nor done after their abominations: but, as if that were a very little thing, thou wast corrupted more than they in all thy ways. |
| 48Portanto, tão certo como Eu vivo, assevera o SENHOR Deus, tua irmã Sodoma e suas filhas não fizeram como tu e tuas filhas fizeram. | 48Vivo eu, diz o Senhor Deus, não fez Sodoma, tua irmã, nem ela nem suas filhas, como fizeste tu e tuas filhas. | 48As I live, saith the Lord GOD, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters. |

| 50Eram altivas e cometeram práticas abomináveis e nojentas diante de mim. | 51Samaria, entretanto, não cometeu metade dos erros e pecados que tu cometeste! Tu tens praticado o que é mau e repugnante muito mais do que elas. E assim, tens feito tuas irmãs parecerem justas, diante da gravidade de todas as tuas atitudes malignas e asquerosas. | 51Demais Samária não cometeu metade de teus pecados; e multiplicaste as tuas abominações mais do que elas, e justificaste a tuas irmãs, com todas as abominações que fizeste. | 51Neither hath Samaria committed half of thy sins; but thou hast multiplied thine abominations more than they, and hast justified thy sisters in all thine abominations which thou hast done. |
| 52Agora, pois, suporta também a tua vergonha extrema, pois proporcionaste alguma justificativa ao procedimento de tuas irmãs. Visto que os teus erros e pecados são mais detestáveis que os delas, comparadas a ti, elas ainda parecem justas! Envergonha-te agora mesmo e suporta a tua terrível humilhação, porquanto, diante de ti, tuas irmãs parecem puras e honestas. | 52Tu, também, pois que deste sentença favorável a tuas irmãs, leva a tua vergonha; por causa de teus pecados, que fizeste mais abomináveis do que elas, mais justas são elas do que tu; confunde-te logo também, e sofre a tua vergonha, porque justificaste a tuas irmãs. | 52Thou also, which hast judged thy sisters, bear thine own shame for thy sins that thou hast committed more abominable than they: they are more righteous than thou: yea, be thou confounded also, and bear thy shame, in that thou hast justified thy sisters. |
| 53Contudo, eis que Eu restaurarei a sorte de Sodoma e das suas filhas, e de Samaria e das suas filhas, e não me esquecerei de te trazer de volta junto com elas, | 53Eu, pois, farei tornar do cativeiro a elas, a Sodoma e suas filhas, a Samária e suas filhas, e aos de vós que são cativos no meio delas; | 53When I shall bring again their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, then will I bring again the captivity of thy captives in the midst of them: |

| 55E tuas irmãs, Sodoma com suas filhas, e Samaria com suas filhas, retornarão para o que elas eram antes de caírem; e tu e tuas filhas voltareis ao que éreis antes de te entregares às práticas abomináveis. | 55Quanto a tuas irmãs, Sodoma e suas filhas, tornarão ao seu primeiro estado; e Samária e suas filhas tornarão ao seu primeiro estado; também tu e tuas filhas tornareis ao vosso primeiro estado. | 55When thy sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former estate, and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate, then thou and thy daughters shall return to your former estate. |

| 57Antes que a tua malignidade fosse trazida a público? Agora, de igual modo, te fizeste objeto de opróbrio para todas as filhas da Síria, e para todos os seus vizinhos, e para as filhas dos filisteus, que te desprezam e também vivem ao teu redor. | 57antes que fosse descoberta a tua maldade? Agora, de igual modo, te fizeste objeto de opróbrio das filhas da Síria, e de todos os que estão ao redor dela, e para as filhas dos filisteus, que te desprezam em redor. | 57Before thy wickedness was discovered, as at the time of thy reproach of the daughters of Syria, and all that are round about her, the daughters of the Philistines, which despise thee round about. |
| 58Eis que sofrerás todas as consequências da tua lascívia, libertinagem e ações nojentas! Palavra de Yahweh, o SENHOR. | 58Pela tua perversidade e as tuas abominações estás sofrendo, diz o Senhor. | 58Thou hast borne thy lewdness and thine abominations, saith the LORD. |
| 59Pois assim diz Yahweh, o SENHOR Deus: Eu te julgarei de acordo com o que praticaste, pois desprezaste as teus votos, quebrando a nossa Aliança. | 59Pois assim diz o Senhor Deus: Eu te farei como fizeste, tu que desprezaste o juramento, quebrantando o pacto. | 59For thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even deal with thee as thou hast done, which hast despised the oath in breaking the covenant. |
| 60Apesar de tudo o que aconteceu, eis que Eu me lembrarei da minha Aliança, a mesma que fiz contigo nos dias da tua origem, da tua primeira infância, e estabelecerei contigo uma Aliança eterna! | 60Contudo eu me lembrarei do meu pacto, que fiz contigo nos dias da tua mocidade; e estabelecerei contigo um pacto eterno. | 60Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant. |
| 61Então te recordarás dos caminhos errados pelos quais andaste, e te envergonharás, quando receberes tuas irmãs mais velhas e mais novas. Eu as darei a ti como filhas, embora tal atitude não faça parte da minha Aliança contigo. | 61Então te lembrarás dos teus caminhos, e ficarás envergonhada, quando receberes tuas irmãs, as mais velhas e as mais novas, e eu tas der por filhas, mas não por causa do pacto contigo. | 61Then thou shalt remember thy ways, and be ashamed, when thou shalt receive thy sisters, thine elder and thy younger: and I will give them unto thee for daughters, but not by thy covenant. |
| 62Renovarei a Aliança que firmei contigo, e então compreenderás que Eu Sou Yahweh, o SENHOR Deus. | 62E estabelecerei o meu pacto contigo, e saberás que eu sou o Senhor; | 62And I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD: |
| 63Eis que Eu mesmo perdoarei todas as atitudes e práticas abomináveis que cometeste contra mim; contudo, tu te lembrarás para sempre do que fizeste e andarás envergonhada demais para sequer abrir a boca e proferir palavra! Eu, Yahweh, o SENHOR tenho dito. | 63para que te lembres, e te envergonhes, e nunca mais abras a tua boca, por causa da tua vergonha, quando eu te perdoar tudo quanto fizeste, diz o Senhor Deus. | 63That thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and never open thy mouth any more because of thy shame, when I am pacified toward thee for all that thou hast done, saith the Lord GOD. |
